Julio Otoni
Julio Otoni is a small favela in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2004 the Julio Otoni Project was created to provide an out of school activity programme for children between the ages of 7 & 17, the objective being to offer a program of various creative and community activities as an alternative to involvement with the prevalent gang culture. Sal, one of our team here at Design Room, volunteered with the project in 2008 and remained in active contact with the community on her return to the UK. It was an honour to be approached to create a logo for the Project. You can read more about the project at the link below.
